Moving to Maadi from US

Our family will be moving in about 3 weeks and I am having a hard time finding out about what I should bring with me and the what I should have shipped.( i think it will take about 8+ weeks to get there) I have 2 boys and I want them to be happy. Any suggestions on what airline to take or that you have had a good experience (bc of the children) I have been told it is furnished housing- what that meaning is a big question? ANY HELP will be appreciated!
