Moving cats to Egypt

Hello, I am considering taking a job in Cairo and am looking for information from someone who successfully brought their cats over to Egypt with them. (I'll be coming from the U.S.) Are pets quarantined and if so for how long? I am reluctant to take them anywhere where they won't be able to walk off the plane and breeze through customs with me! They have all the necessary vaccinations, nothing on the U.S. end would be a problem, I just want to know what hoops we'll have to jump through when we land.
