Advice on New Life in October 6 & English speaking churches

Hello everyone,

I am excited but nervous about moving with my Egyptian husband and 4 yr old son and will have a new 6wk old baby (en sha allah), we are moving to October 6 in 3rd Sept 10!

I have spent about half yr there on 8 different trips, one for 2 mths in his parents village- el Mansoura where we got married before i became pregnant with my first, which is so different to Cairo!

I do have a lot of ups and downs when i visit there as the culture shock really gets to me and we never had basic things like air con or car before & until recently my husband wouldn't let me go out alone on public transport.

I would like any advice on how to settle well in October 6 (he has 4 brothers nearby and one married with 3 young children- all i am close with). Also once i learn better arabic as it is still quite basic, where is the place/how is it best to start making friends- Egyptian or ex-pats?

Also do you know of any english speaking churches in Cairo or Giza and where are the national parks in Cairo/Giza?
