Need rental apartment in Cairo

Hoping someone here on the forum knows of a great little apartment for rent... My Husband and I need a 1-2 bdrm apartment from Jan-Mar and possibly indefinitely, if it turns out to be what we are looking for. We both travel quite a bit, but will both be in Egypt at the same time Jan-Mar. His office is in Giza, and it would be nice to live close by, but any where in Cairo is fine. We have been staying in Maadi the last 1&1/2 years on and off, subletting, but want something a little more affordable to rent with possibility of long term lease or even a possible lease/buy option in the future if it suits us. Just looking for private, safe and sanitary place of our own with clean mattress (if furnished) clean kitchen and bathroom, (no vermin) yes, laugh if you want, and a microwave would also be wonderful. The sublet in Maadi was very expensive for the neighborhood, was nasty and impossible to clean without a blowtorch and power wash sprayer. Lots of uncontroled vermin on the 5th floor! Furnished, unfurnished or partially unfurnished possibilities? Looking for modest, reasonable rent and utilities. Possible cable and internet, wi-fi... Thank you if anyone has any leads to something seriously helpful. Neither my Husband nor I have had any luck so far with promising helpful productive leads.
