I'm a college student here in the United States, graduating soon. Several months ago at work I met an Egyptian girl, also a college student. The two of us get along amazingly well, great chemistry, she's a beautiful person with a great personality and so humble.
Its funny I work with so many Egyptians that initially many of them thought I was Egyptian when they first started working with me.
Anyway, a few days ago I made the decision of asking her to go out, I wanted to take her to a museum, see all the tourist attractions, etc. She then told me her parents would never allow it, she was fairly upset about it. This surprised me, but didn't shock me being that she still lives with her parents and they've been here for less than a year, we are both Christian but the different cultures were bound to conflict eventually.
It honestly just makes me sad that I'd only be able to talk to her during work. It's too bad how different cultures can make things so complicated.
Is it possible to ever date her or take her out? Is that allowed in Egypt? Should I forget about her and move on as much as I'd hate to?
