Visiting El Salvador before deciding to relocate?

This country is wonderful, but has rough edges and not for everyone. A single woman would need to find a roomate/mentor to settle. The infrastructure in urban areas is top notch. Plenty of Telecom, IT, Cable providers country wide. The rural areas are enchanting. If you visit I would be willing to meet up with you on advance notice and show you around a few hours if you provide transportation and lunch, I reside here 15 years now again, and also was here in 1970s, visited frequently in 1980s
Sorry no advice on "jobs" although plenty of teaching and IT jobs, NGO positions see www.idealist.org/ for QUALIFIED and SKILLED persons, one needs Spanish skills to communicate here, start networking, amigo/a
Keep a low profile and be humble, humility is being teachable. I have had some meet ups with "Americans" here that after meeting them f2f for a couple minutes, I got up from the table and walked away, others became friends, they listened and more important, smiled. People are more important to me than destinations. Most of my local friends here still do not have Internet at home! Oral tradition. If you like IM and Twitter and answer your cellphone every 2 minutes during a conversation, talk or meet with someone else. Saludos.
