I am an American who married in El Salvador in 1979, just before the civil war. As I grew up in Rhode Island, my wife and I have been living here and visiting El Salvador from time-to-time ever since. In the past five years, both of my wife’s parents passed away leaving her a house in La Montana (an upscale gated community), about 15 minutes from the U.S. Embassy. The house is really a must see show piece that in the U.S. would go for around $1M, but we are selling it in the $500K range.
I am hoping that Expats who have lived in El Salvador for some time now may have some good ideas on how to effectively reach the middle-to-upper class market of Salvadorans and Expats from the U.S., France, China and Germany, for example. We have just begun to advertise in both major newspapers and have a couple of competent realtors, though a couple more names wouldn’t hurt as well. Also, folks might know of a highly visible website for those who might be looking (relocating, retiring, etc.) for a quality home in El Salvador. Many thanks!
