insights on moving to ES, and resources for the start of the journey. THANKS!

Am a 75-yr single woman, planning to move to ES with my precious 14-yr old 75 LB tortoise. Will need to go through several hoops, am trying to learn spanish- not doing so good. Will not learn to be fluent before I venture to "El Campo" of San Salvador, so I am looking for a little translater box... I was told that fluentalk was good, but then I read on their site that they did not deliver service in ES. Also, Anyone who has used any animal transport service, as well as moving from US services, please share whatever info you can, if you're so inclined. ANyone who has driven down from the East of US would you please share your experiences, as well as those with any type of car import. Looking forward to the country of responsibility and the dreams that can come along with that. Many blessings to you all. Oh, also need an inexpensive little hotel or airbandb w a kitchen and laundry to use for about 2.5 - 3 weeks as my home base while I search for a 3-6 month get-acquainted-with-ES to find out if it's really the place I want to settle . Liked it a lot on my first whirlwind tour a few months ago. So far, I feel it is where the people of like mind and spirit exist for me... locals and expats, alike.
