Getting married in france

Hi,

I'm planning on getting married to a french guy in france. The information I've read on the US consular page tells me that I need to provide copies (i'm guessing official) of my US citizenship papers and an attestation of singleness. The problem is that all of the papers must be dated within three months of the marriage.

This seems like it's going to be a nightmare. I would like to get an early start on the administration, but it doesn't even seem worth it if I have to stick to this 3 month thing.

I haven't found much on the web about marriages in france between foreign nationals and nationals. If you have any experience, please let me know about it.

thanks,
lostinspace
