Good banking experiences?

I am in search of advice on which banks in France offer the best services, particularly concerning online banking. I'd be keen to hear of people's personal experiences since reading the banks' advertisements is not a very objective evaluation method.

I have an account at La Poste, but the ever increasing fees for such things as Visa cards and online banking have made me search for alternatives.

Has any one had good experiences with the online-only banks now hitting the French market, e.g., Banque Directe, egg, etc.?
