Taking the First Step!

Well I have decided to take a big step and move overseas (Paris.. specifically) to learn a new culture and gain experience with a new language. I am looking at enrolling in a French intensive type course, for about 6 weeks -- after that I am hoping to find employment... Any advince in picking a school, finding accommodations and just meeting like-minded people would be greatfully appreciated :)

I have read through some of the postings (DianaM yours have been very helpful), and I am looking forward to reading the responses...
