Secu

Ok, now it's my turn to ask a question. I was wondering what your experiences have been with the secu. I've had my first run in and it hasn't been pleasant. I moved ages ago and need to change which caisse I use. This is imperative because with my new job I need to send my claims through them before my mutuel will pay up. Argh!

Anyway, after calling for days I sent an email. Someone nicely, and quickly, responded with the address of the caisse and what I needed to send in. This week it's all come back with a letter from them saying I need a bunch of other documents. This includes signing a form (sur honneur!) that my card has been lost or stolen. I don't know how this can be since I sent my old card along with everything else and they were sending it back to me! They also said my card was not valid because it was from my student days. Uh...not true. As a student I wasn't eligible for the secu! I didn't even apply for the card until I got my last job. By the way, it took TWO YEARS before I got a permanent number.

I think I"m going to print out my original email with the directions of what to do. I'm going to resend everything as if it is the first time, only this time I'll check everything off that they've asked for.

Otherwise, does anyone else have a suggestion? If not, does anyone else need to vent about this topic?
