moving with dogs to France

hi, we have 2 white german shepherd dogs, we are taking them with us when we move to france ( hopefully this year) I wondered if the french are dog lovers / dog haters in general, my dogs are well behaved & I am a responsible owner who tries to keep them quiet etc. I expect that they will not be allowed in some places such as food areas but are there any places that I would not have expected them to be banned? I also breed the two of them occasionally, would I be liable for tax?. SAS
