I worked in France for ten years in the 1970s and 1980s. I have been currently living and working full-time in the States and am looking toward retirement.
I understand there is a way for me to collect my French benefits for those ten years I was working there, or have the credits applied to my U.S. social security benefits.
Unfortunately, I misplaced my French income tax papers and nearly all the papers I had regarding my employment in French are lost as well. The only things I have are my old 10-year carte de resident and a new other (probably) non-relevant documents.
I would appreciate any advice on how to proceed, given my circumstance.
Many thanks,
George
