Rent or Buy Apartment

Hello,
I am about to move to Paris from New York as a job relocation with my multinational company for about 2 years.
Would I be better off renting or buying an apartment? I need a 1 bedroom apartment only. My company usually pays all broker fees, taxes and charges.
