Getting around laws of succession in France

Hi, like so many others, my partner and I are thinking of moving / retiring permanently to France. Does anyone have experience they would like to share regarding setting up a company in England for the purpose of purchasing a property in France? We need to find the best legal way around the French laws of succession, especially as we are not planning to marry. We have both been married before and have children from our marriages. How can we make sure that, if one of us dies, the other won't lose their home due to the French laws of succession?
