Renovation Grants

Hi Everyone,

We are in the process of buying an old farm on the Cher/Auvergne border and will be changing its use to Chambres d'Hotes and eventually Gites.
Wondered if anyone can help give us information on obtaining grants for renovations. We have been told that the Local Mairie cannot help however Gites de France possibly can, I contacted them and they very kindly sent me a brochure regarding Gites however unfortunately my French is not fluent enough to understand it all and I cannot find details on Grants.
Has anyone been through this process? and how did you get on?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
