essential stuff we need to do after arriving in France

Hello all. My partner & i will be settling in France from September this year (Lot region, near to Figeac) - doing up a barn, setting up a small ironwork business etc. We know there are many things we are legally obliged to do & things we need advice on how to go about. Any advice on these would be really appreciated!
1. Health insurance - where, who, what? Best advice please!
2. Re-registering a car (from Britain to France) how do we do that? in what timescale?
3. Internet service providers & broadband (probbably a bit ambitious!) - who provides best packages?
4. Satellite TV - who provides the best packages?
