Train travel within France

Hi, I'm coming to France in the fall. I'll be teaching english near Dijon for about 8 months. I was wondering what types of passes are available for train travel within france. I spent a few months in Luxembourg in 2002 and while I was there I got something called a Jumbo Card that was good for a year and allowed me to use most of the public transportation with in Luxembourg for no extra charge. Is there anything like that for travelling in France? Or at least for frequent travelling between cities like Dijon to Lyon or Dijon to Paris?
