Train travel within France

I'm going to be teaching in Dijon for 8 months starting in October and I was wondering what types of train passes are available for travelling with in France. I spent several months in Luxembourg in 2002 and while I was there I purchased something called a Jumbo Card that was good for a year and allowed me to use most forms of public transportation anywhere in Luxembourg for no extra charge. Is there anything like that in France? Or at least for frequent travelling between cities like Dijon and Lyon or Dijon and Paris?
