What's it like meeting the marie?

20 years ago
I hope ive spealt it right, some people have said"whatever you do, don't upset the marie" so i guess cooking for him is definatly out of the question, as my cooking tends to upset just about everybody(ha ha), no seriously i can't speak a word of french(although starting a course in sept) and it all sounds really daunting, what does he expect of you? do you invite him round for tea or a stiff drink? so many questions, I hope someone out there can relieve me of my fears..Jo
