relocation taxes and residency

Hi

we are uk residents and are thinking of moving to paris on a local salary. Can anybody tell me what the tax amount would be on a local salary which needs to be paid? and if there is a website to help calculate this.

Also, at what point do we become a french resident? if we went to france we would rent our house out in the UK, if we were french residents then this would be liable for income tax too, which would be a potential additional cost for us to consider. At what point do we be come french residents? the job would essentially be a permanent job in paris.

My wife would be at home with our baby so i guess we would geta discount on taxes but can anybody help me out?

Thanks
