Schools in the Limousin Region

We are actively seeking property in the Limousin Region, within 30 - 45 mins from Limoges airport. We have already had a trip looking at property, but are trying to seek advice on local schools, for 2 children aged 7 and 11, preferably local schools, but failing that would look at private. We are in the dilema, of not knowing whether to search for location or schools first. Can anyone offer any advice please. We are ideally looking around the la Souterraine are or anywhere near to the A20. We love the area and just want to get moved! Any advice gratefully accepted, from folk that have no doubt "been there and done it." Thanks.
