! would much appreciate some advice on finding an apartment or small house in the Croix-rousse or Presqu'ile arrondissements in Lyon.
1. I plan to move there towards the end of November. How long in advance should I start to look for a place?
2. What is the best way to look for a place? Estate agents? What other possibilities are there?
3. My budget extends up to plus-minus 900E per month. For that price, will I be able to find a place with a small garden or parhaps a courtyard (if a groundfloor apartment)?
4. I have four beautiful Persian cats, so obviously I need to find a place that allows cats.
5. Does one normally pay a one-month deposit, or two months...?
6. What other costs will there be when hiring an apartment/house for the first time in France?
7. How does it work with electricity, water, etc. How and when do I arrange for this to be activated? What deposit(s) do I need to pay?
