Short term move to Paris - school options

My family and I could possibly be moving to Paris for about 6 months. I have 2 school age children (ages 8 and 9) and I was curious to know what my best options would be for enrolling them in school. Should I consider "homeschooling" them and see if their current elementary school could support my efforts?
