Location recommendation sought in Provence

Hi Im a single female wantting to rent and eventually buy in Provence ideally Marseille and Aix would be 40 mins travelling at the most as I want to socialise there. However I would prefer a country residence but will only have £220k to spend and quite frankly I cant see I can afford it!!? I want a horse and am unsure of which area wouod be good as I live in Epping Forest at the moment and am spoilt and want to keep my horse on my land. Is this achievable? Id love a penfriend for advice
