Hi, sorry if this has been answered, I can't locate it...
I'm trying to assess job opps in France and working out income tax seems a bit complicated compared to other countries I've lived in...
There are online calculators which are over simplified (they don't include dependents/marital situation etc) and they don't correlate with the tax tables posted online either.
According to the tables, up to €26k pa gross is taxed at 14% while the next tax bracket is 30%!!!
So a €26k earner will net more than a 30k earner for instance according to the tables.
I tried to run the official simulator but I need a social sec number or something, which I don't have yet.
Can anyone point me to a reliable source (or better yet, give me the net income based on fully employed, €26k 1 dependent and with PACs :)) please?
Also, I think in 2018 French tax will be deducted automatically?
Thanks!
