Long-stay visa: "Votre Project"

Greetings, I am attempting to complete a long-stay visa application online (SF). I have indicated a stay of 6-12 months. When asked the # of months of stay, I indicate 11, however, when I save the data for that page, it is always saved as 3 months, which is incorrect. I have attempted this many times. It never saves any # other than 3 months. I wonder if I am selecting the incorrect "Projet". My (minor) daughter and I will be staying with friends and the purpose is just a homestay/cultural experience. I have ticked off the "Project" as "Etablissement familial ou prive (adulte)" and the "Motif principale" as "Visiteur". Could that be the problem? My only other viable option for "Projet" is "Divers" and if I choose that, my only choices for "Motif principal" are "Ancien combattant" or "visa de retour." This seems like it should be simple, but... Thanks!
