Do you live near water?

Hi everyone, back in August I posted a question about living on an estuary, lake or stream in France, which received no replies. So I thought being more specific might help.

I’m looking to live a few months a year near my mom’s homeland of Alsace. Also looking at Aquitaine, Pays de la Loire, Strasbourg, Poitou-Charentes regions. Aix-en-Provence seemed ideal, but the prices aren’t affordable. As a writer, nanny/family assistant, and permaculture gardener, there is much to offer a family if desired. Thank you!
