Lone Kiwi: anyone out there in the Stuttgart area??!!

Hi there,

I'm a Kiwi, and will be moving to Germany to be with my partner next month (October). I'll be living in Pleidelsheim, near Ludwigsburg, Heilbronn, Stuttgart ...

I won't be working initially. Really keen to make contacts/friends... if anyone out there is interested, I'm a 31 year old female, keen on the arts, museums etc, day trips, love photography, also having a few drinks at the pub, simply whatever!! I speak fairly good German, but not the most fluent yet!

Does anyone know about biking clubs of any sort in the area?

Also, a school where I can study/further my German, but where I'm not going to pay through the nose for??

Basically, if anyone has any tips for me, for doing the big move out, I would most appreciate it! I'll be wanting to initially lengthen my 3-month visa, any specific pointers?? Will it be a matter of going to foreign office with all the correct papers, and simply having perserverance and patience??! I will at least have my partner (German national) to support me.

Any help anyone can give me would be most appreciated! And anyone out there in my area who wants to get together, give me a yell! You can also contact me on [email protected].
