Heidelberg/ Karlsruhe Kids & intl schools

Hello there!

Wonderful to find a forum like this!
We are just about to decide whether we´ll move from Sweden to Germany for a couple of years or not. W = Helene, my husband (both 40) and our two boys, 7 & 10.

As always - we know what we have - but not what it´ll be like. Exciting and also a bit scary....I worry a bit about the kids!

I´d love to get in contact with families in this area! I have so many questions...

First of all we need to find a good international (english) school for the children - do you have any info to give me regarding the schools in Heidelberg and/ or Karlsruhe?!
(Friends where not too pleased about the one in Karlsruhe - it would be so nice to have some more positive references about the school as well?!

We (or a relocation agent) need to
find a good house in a nlice area as well - close to the school. (I´ll drive)
Any recommendations?

Plus -
I love my fun and hectic job and to be honest it scares me a bit to have all this "free time" as a "house wife and full time mom" - how shall I fill my days!? Study German- yes, play some golf (beginner!) , maybe become a "horse- girl" again, why not... :-D

Is there a some kind of " expats- club" in the area? Being extremely social (according to my husband) I´d love to find new friends, quickly! :-D
