German Taxation of Foreign Pensions/Social Security

Hi,

Surprisingly, I cannot find information online about EU countries' taxation of foreign pensions. We are looking to migrate from the U.S. to Europe (UK, Netherlands, or Germany). We have pension, rental, and other investment income and, eventually, will have Social Security income. We do not intend to work. I know that most EU countries will tax the investment income, but is foreign pension and social security income treated as income the same as employment income?
