Fresh Start in Athens

Is there anyone out there who would give some good honest advice? Im looking to locate to Athens in early Summer 2004 with my son. I have a school in mind heading South of Athens. But I wonder, is North Athens better for living? Oh, and by the way...please respond! don't ignore me! Your advice will be most grateful.
