Good Afternoon fellow Expat Exchange members. I am living in Spain and am developing an article for Transitions Abroad about American Expats living/working or that have lived/worked in Europe. I have friends in many European countries that have lent me a hand with a short questionnaire about their experience but I need some more input for the proper development of the article. Why did you come to Europe?
Did you work? What type of work? For what type of company (Language school, small business, etc).
How did you find the job?
If you have a work permit, how did you get it? (This is a key question as it is extremely hard for Americans to get work permits in Europe. Any and all input is really appreciated.)
Difficulties adjusting to your adopted culture?
Can you tell me a bit about a Christmas in Europe away from part of the family that you have always celebrated this holiday with?
