Buying a property and maintaining stories

Hello all,

I am thinking of buying a property in crete (between Chania and Reythmno) as my holiday home eventually becoming a winter retirement home for myself and my wife. Until i retire i might use them for few weeks, i like to let them out via a management company to earn few €€s to look after the property and for my pension pot :-)

Does anyone have any experience of dealing with management companies remotely, if there are issues with the property can I rely on the management company to fix emergency issues (until i can come over to fix). How good are these companies to trust them, apart from fact of ripping me off how reliable are they in the quality of work. I mean how much I can trust the crete people in terms of doing repair work. Does anyone have any experience.?

Any recommendations for a reliable management company i can keep in my contact.

From the recent covid experience my plans to travel to crete as often as i want was thrown off the track, god forbid if there is a repeat of travel restrictions, how much I can trust the greek laywers and property agents in property buying process. what stage of the purchase i need to be crete.

Should i look for a london/UK based greek solicitor?
