Please forgive my ignorance....
We're considering relocating to one of Greece's islands. We still need to make a choice. We are seeking for an island that is suitable for families with teenagers and young adults. My spouse is the owner and operator of a construction company. Our eldest daughter is currently earning her master's degree in therapy. She has previous teaching or teaching assistant experience at Montessori schools, and preschools. Her boyfriend graduated from Hellenic College in Boston. He works as a chaplain for both hospice care centers and hospitals. Our younger daughter enjoys meeting new people and having fun being a server or hostess at restaurants. Our eldest son enjoys working with computers and working with his father. Our youngest child is currently being homeschooled, he has two more years left.
Our second question is whether we ought to apply as Greek citizens, expats, or for the Gold Visa. I know Greece makes it difficult for people to relocate there, and they drag things out. My husband was born and reared in Australia, as were his parents. His grandparents are from Kastellorizo and Cyprus, and they eventually moved to Australia. Although I was born in the United States, my parents and their parents were all born and raised in Greece.
Thank you for any suggestions and information.... we are speaking with family and relatives, but would like to get non Greek opinions, suggestions, ideas, and etc.... different perspective.
Thank you!
