Weather in Coban from June - August

I will be living in the Coban area of Guatemala doing research. The Weather Channel app states that it rains every day in the area because of the season. Is it like London rain? Or is it like a torrential rain? I'm trying to figure out the best types of clothes to bring. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks in advance!
