Hi all
My husband is being interviewed for a job in Guatemala City. We live in a great country but one of the main reasons we want to emigrate for a while is because it rains for most of the year with the exception of summer which is just amazing but very short and not that hot. We love the beach and the outdoors and for what I am reading about the weather I can see that it rains 80% of the year in Guatemala city??? Is this true?? I have spent some time there but this was 15 years ago and I cannot honestly remember...
If the weather is not nice in GC is there anywhere near Guatemala City where the weather is nice to visit on the weekends or to live and commute from?
I have two young daughters, what is life like as a young family of four...I did not remember it to be that unsafe as I am originally from Argentina..so I know what danger is, but for what I read doesn t sound good.
We will welcome any advice as we need to make a decision and we don t know anyone from Guatemala. Many thanks!
