Any info on Honduras?

My Husband and I are considering a move to Honduras for either a few months or possibly years depending. He lived in Honduras for 2 years and speaks fluent spanish. We have money saved up and would not be working there, however we would love to volunteer and keep busy. We do not want to live in Roatan. We are just looking for any information we can get on living in certain areas, cost of living,renting a house/apt, volunteer opportunities etc. Any Information would be appreciated.
