My wife was born in Houduras but lives in US. We visit Honduras often. Next trip is early December.
On most of these trips exchaging currency has been a problem. All the info that I read says go to a bank. All the banks I have been to, you have to have an account to exchange money. So I have been using relatives' accounts to do the exchange.
So My question is what is required to open a Honduran bank account? Also can you transfer funds from a US account?
Regarding driving I have been renting a car for all trips. I now want to purchase a car n leave it there for future trips. What is required to purchase and register a vehicle in Honduras? Thanks for any info on this. Juan
