apartment/condo hunting

Me and my husband are looking for an island type feel for our apartment, near the beach within walking distance. A one or two bedroom, with a pool, lots of palm trees, airy and breezy with balcony and views. Is that possible ? We want to spend at least 6 months to look around the island, so i don't want to spend the maximum amount right now. I want to search to find the right fit so i have a budget of around US$500 a month to give us a starting point.
