Starting a Business

Hey gang,

My wife and I are looking at Roatan as the next place to move and start a business. We currently live in Thailand, but would like to move closer to our families (I'm from the US, my wife is from Peru).

I'm trying to find information and starting a business, residency, etc, but its proving a bit difficult.

Is there a good resource to get my questions answered? Maybe you all can help :) First, is starting a business an acceptable path to residency? Or do you need residency to be able to start a business? I suppose that's the most important thing.

We wouldn't need a fancy space. We'd be looking for some kind of warehouse space or even just a plot of land that we could put up our own structure on. I'm in the prelim phase of doing research on Roatan and Honduras, but any info would be helpful! Thanks everyone.

Tim
