Hi,
My Ex partner has moved back to New Delhi with our 4 month old son.
I agreed to give her €500/month for maintenance. Plus medical stuff like vaccines.
Last month he needed vaccines and it cost €126, this month €196 and there will be more at 9 months. This is just for mandatory vaccines, I have to pay extra for others.
She is telling me also that I will need to increase it to €600/month at 6 months old due to higher costs.
I'm struggling to pay this and I cannot help wondering how an average Indian family who earn a lot less than I do, can afford to pay for these expenses.
I trust my partner but it just doesn't add up.
In Ireland where I am from the average maintenance is €400 monthly total.
I had a partner in a poorer country yet €500 doesn't seem to be enough for her.
I want to pay my fair share but I feel I almost being taken advantage of and I don't think I can afford to keep paying this.
