Where in Jakarta

Hi, I will be moving to Jakarta in the next few weeks to teach English and have a choice of whereabouts I can work - at the moment the job offer is for a school in the centre in Menteng but I've been hearing stories that South Jakarta is the nicest place to be. Any advice on these or other places much appreciated!
