Thoughts on moving to Derry, N.Ireland

I'm currently living in Boston (born and raised) and my boyfriend is from Derry,N.Ireland. A few weeks ago he told me he wants to move back home to Derry and wants me to move with him. I'm 25 he's 26. He wouldn't move back until around December and then I would go and visit a couple weeks after and see if it would be a place I could live. However, it seems like getting work over there will be hard and I have student loans I need to continue to pay IF I do move,( I will defer them until I have a job.) Any and all advice is welcome!!!
