Moving to Ireland

I am planning to move to Ireland in about a year, either to Dublin or Galway, I have not yet decided. I am just trying to gather information on the cost of living in Ireland and any other info that willl help the move/transition there easier. I put together some questions that would be extremely helpful, exact dollar amounts would be best. I would probably be moving by myself and renting a room in a flat or a shared room to save money, questions are as follows:

It would be very interesting and useful to exchange informations about the cost of living in Ireland. The idea is to help those who would like to live in Ireland.
Don't forget to mention where you are living, the more places to include the better, knowing what it costs in dublin, galway, cork, etc.

Let's compare the:

> accommodation prices (how much does it cost to rent or to buy an accommodation in Ireland? by yourself and with others? rent and buy)

> public transportation fares (train, bus, ferry etc ...)

> food prices(per month, how much does it cost you?)

> health prices (for those who need medical insurance)

> eduction prices (if you need to pay)

> energy prices (oil, electricity,water)

>other monthly utility prices (garbage/recycling, etc)

> common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile phone)

> prices of a good menu in a traditional restaurant

> prices of a beer or a coffee in a regular pub

>how to move from us to ireland(with company relocation and without)

>If you have anything else to add, tips and tricks and extra info would be great!

Thanks in advance for your participation!
