Dublin rentals

I'm considering moving to Dublin after the 1st of the year. My goal is to be in walking distance of St. James. Dublin 4 or 2 seem to be the better options. . Any info on "average" rental for a furnished flat?

The online offerings seem slim - is there another source to look for rentals? What ia the cost of using a rental agent?
