Moving in June

Hi. My husband, 13 year old daughter and I are moving to Ireland in June from the US I am Irish by birth so the immigration side of things is not an issue. Just wondering if anyone knows what the job market is like over summer. My husband works in IT, which seems to be fairly strong at the moment.
Also how hard was opening a bank account. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.
