HIV Costs

I am an American-born Irish citizen (both parents born and raised in Eire). I have my Irish passport, and am only a few years from retirement.

What would be the government and/or private medical insurance benefits/costs, especially since I have an expensive pre-condition (at least with Rx).

I read enough to know there exists both government and private medical plans. That the latter at least doesn't cover pre-existing conditions. I also found what looked like a government published guide for those with HIV. It states - as I read it - that antiretrovirals are considered a basic human right in Ireland and that everyone, regardless of citizen status, is entitled to them.
