Private Insurance Purchase

Been scrolling through old posts but not finding the answers I am hoping exist. Brief back story....Irish born but dual citizen husband, US citizen wife, 20yo US/Irish citizen daughter and 17yo US/Irish citizen son moving to Ireland in mid-June. Husband retired and non-contributory to Irish pension. So on-line research is leading me to believe that we need to all get private medical insurance bought ASAP, right? His Medicare Advantage plan won't travel with him just like my marketplace plan doesn't travel, right?

Been on The Health Insurance Authority site trying to compare plans but nomenclature differences are making a complicated topic even messier. Are there truly any independent insurance agents who can be hired to assist us with plan selection or are they all commission driven? Looking for a live human being since my tech skills are sketchy.

Also, looking for any advice members are willing to offer on the topic as a whole because sometimes ...you don't know what to ask when the whole topic is new to you.
